Dr Shruti Swamy

Paediatric Allergist and Immunologist
Dr. Shruti Swamy is a specialist in paediatric Allergy and Immunology, with over 10 years of experience . Dr Swamy trained at two leading tertiary paediatric hospitals in NSW; Sydney Children's Hospital and Westmead Children's Hospital and holds a fellowship with the Royal Australasia College of Physicians.
She is a member of many professional bodies, including the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID) and Clinical Immunology Society (CIS). Dr Swamy has attended and presented at a variety of Society conferences, and have received awards and grants for her contributions. She is also a member of the Eosinophilic Oesophagitis working party through ASCIA, and is the Australian representative of the ESID Junior working party.
Dr Swamy has a keen research and teaching interest. She holds an Honorary Research Fellow position at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, in association with CIRCA (a Garvan-led national Immunologenetic collaboration) and has delivered many lectures and tutorials to both medical students and doctors. She is currently designing and writing the Immunology course curriculum for the Masters in Paediatrics, through the University of Sydney.
Dr Swamy’s clinical interest include the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal, respiratory, food, venom and drug allergies. She has a special interest in disorders of immune dysregulation, including autoimmunity and immunodeficiency.
